This is a notice of intent to issue a sole source award to Sequoia Scientific Inc. ERDC Contracting Office intends to award under the authority of FAR 13.106 to Sequoia Scientific Inc for a Laser In situ Scattering and Transmissometry (LISST). This request is for a companion instrument configured with a green laser, which is compatible with bathymetric LiDAR. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than Tuesday, 7 July 2011 - 9:00 A.M., CDST. The Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC) requires a LISST to accomplish the measurement of the Volume Scattering Function (VSF) in tidal rivers for a research study awarded from the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA). Sequoia Scientific Inc is the original designer and manufacturer of the LISST 1090 series of instruments and holds all patents associated with the design.
