A--Intent to Announce Request for Project Proposals (RPP) under Ground Vehicle Systems OTA

This is not a Request for Project Proposals, but for planning purposes only. A project award will not be awarded from this announcement. The Government intends to announce a Request for Project Proposals (RPP3) for execution of a project award(s) in support of Ground Vehicle Systems Research and Development related to specified project requirements. The purpose of this announcement is to provide members of the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (formerly the Robotics Technology Consortium), and industry in general, advanced notification of Government intent. In July 2014, the Government entered into an Other Transaction Agreement with one (1) consortium, the National Advanced Mobility Consortium (NAMC), in support of Ground Vehicle Systems related Research and Development prototype projects. It is the intent of the Government to make project award(s) to member(s) of the NAMC as a result of member project proposals submitted via the Request for Project Proposals process. The Government anticipates approximately four (4) project requirements to be solicited via W15QKN-14-9-1002-RPP3 in support of the Advanced Powertrain Demonstrator (APD) research effort. The APD research effort is anticipated to consist of the following: (1) Multi-Cylinder Engine, (2) Cross Drive Transmission, (3) Advanced Cooling Components, and (4) Powertrain Integrator. If the Government pursues award under this effort, the contractor for the Powertrain Integrator project requirement will require a Secret Security Clearance once the contract is awarded.
