The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA), 820 Chandler Street, Fort Detrick, Maryland, 21702, intends to award a sole source contract to Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago to complete development of generalized configuration and adaptive recalibration of lower extremity neural control systems. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), FAR citation is 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii) and the FAR citation title is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements for these highly specialized research services.
