The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) is issuing an Intent to Procure via Sole Source an extension of Research and Development contract DAMD17-01-C-0058 with Barr Laboratories, Inc. The up to six (6) year extension is for the performance of the Phase IV requirements dictated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in conjunction with the Biologics License Application (BLA) submitted by Barr Laboratories, Inc. in support of the Adenovirus Vaccine Types 4 and 7 production and the establishment of an alternate source for the Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) utilized in the production of the Adenovirus Vaccine Types 4 and 7. The contract extension shall be a minimum of four (4) years with two (2) additional option years for a total of six (6) years possible extension to the period of performance.
