The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to award to Hiroshi Ishida, Silver Spring, MD, on a sole source basis, a non-personal service contract to provide a Senior Scientist to develop and validate in vivo models that are predictive of the potential for test compounds to cause hemolytic toxicity in G6PD deficient human subject. This is a continuation of an ongoing study on contract number W81XWH-08-P-0530. Competing this requirement and awarding to any other source would result in substantial delays and disruption of a study already in place and would also increase the overall cost to the Government. This procurement shall be under other than full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. After the publication of this announcement for fifteen (15) days, solicitation W81XWH-09-T-0369 will be posted for five (days)at https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi/.
