16--Acquisition and Support of Full Rate Production for the MH-60R Weapon System

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a contract to Lockheed Martin Systems Integration (LMSI), 1801 State Route 17C, Owego, NY 13827-3998, on a sole source basis for the acquisition and support of the FY05 Full Rate Production (FRP), Lot 3, of the MH-60R weapon system. NAVAIR plans to issue an Advanced Acquisition Contract for long lead effort and materials supporting this procurement. This FRP procurement will be for ten MH-60R weapon systems, or for such other quantities authorized by Congress, and related support. Such support will include but not be limited to: integrated logistics support and analysis, spares and repair parts, special tooling and test equipment, support equipment, sustaining engineering, software support, phased support and maintenance requirements, repair of repairables, and technical, administrative and financial data. As the sole manufacturer and developer of the MH-60R weapon system, LMSI is the only source with the technical data and experience necessary to perform this effort in a timely and cost effective manner.
