Yearly Maintenance Support for Electromagnetic Modeling and Simulation Tools (19-P-6651)

The purpose of this Special Notice is to serve as Naval Information Warfare Center - Pacific's (NIWC - Pacific) Notice of Intent to award the procurement opportunity involving Yearly Maintenance Support for Electromagnetic Modeling and Simulation Tools (N66001-19-P-6651) to ANSYS, Inc. on sole-source grounds. As part of the Purchase Request package, a Justification for Non-Competitive Procurement document was submitted by the Technical Code to the Contracting Department which provides the basis and reasoning for the sole-source acquisition. The reasoning behind this includes, but is not limited to, the acquisition of these software maintenance services being cost prohibitive if acquired elsewhere which also holds a risk that may be onerous to the United States Navy and potentially cause an unduly burden to the fleet.
