J--Preventative Maintenance Services on Getinge Cardiosave for VA San Diego Healthcare System (VASDHS)

Project Title: Preventative Maintenance and Repair on Getinge Cardiosave The Government hereby submits a notice of intent to award a sole source action to Getinge for preventative maintenance services on Getinge Cardiosave. The Period of Performance for the base year is: December 29, 2019 December 28, 2020. The applicable NAICS for this acquisition is 811219 Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance with a business size standard of $22 Million. The proposed contract is for items for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i). This sole source contracting action is pursuing a waiver from acquiring these services on a competitive basis pursuant to FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) for the aforementioned requirement based on the application of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i). This hereby constitutes a synopsis of the action proposed in this announcement. Responses to this notice must demonstrate clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government, would not be cost or time prohibitive, and would not hinder the mission or objective. The determination not to compete this proposed contract action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred by responding to this notice. This is NOT a request for quotes or proposals. This is not a solicitation.
