SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: The Department of Veterans Affairs Wilmington VA Medical Center, 1601 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805, is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources to provide an extended warranty and preventative maintenance services for a Laerdal SimMan 3G Advanced Patient Simulator for training of VA staff. This announcement is issued for informational planning purposes only and is not a request for proposal or announcement of a solicitation. Submitting information for this announcement is voluntary and VA assumes no responsibility for any costs incurred associated with the preparation of responses submitted as a result of this notice. If a solicitation is issued it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. The purpose of this market research is to identify capable sources that are both experienced and qualified to provide an extended warranty and preventative maintenance services for a Laerdal SimMan 3G Advanced Patient Simulator, including providing a one year extended warranty on SimMan 3, with an option for a second year. This service includes materials, manufacturing or workmanship issues, and return to bench service only, packaging materials for return to Laerdal, shipping costs for repairs. Also to include preventative maintenance, this includes one full service on site, a full refurbish or replacement of consumables, some bladders, pad sets, refurbish of IV arm, skin, and veins, inspect compr/lbox, upgrade software, and cleaning. A final inspection and documentation of findings will be submitted accompanied along with recommendations. The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 811219 and the small business size standard is $20.5 Million for this type of effort.
