Special Notice: The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Weather Service (NWS), National Reconditioning Center (NRC) is awarding a Purchase Order for the modification of the following equipment: 15 each Phase Splitter, PN: AS-1900, Aeroflex RDL, PN: 111342, ASN: R400-4A1A2A9. to MATRIX ELECTRONICS GROUP., INC., Sole Source Justification: The Government only knows of one responsible source, MATRIX ELECTRONICS GROUP., INC. who previously re-engineered the obsolete circuitry and designed the milling process to accept the new circuitry. Multiple searches of the Small Business Administration (SBA) Dynamic Small Search did not identify any small businesses available to compete for this required repair service. Search parameters included a combination of NAICS code ‘811219' and key words: ‘repair, NEXRAD, phase splitter, amplifier'; and just key words: ‘repair, NEXRAD, phase splitter, amplifier'; and ‘repair, phase splitter, amplifier'. A search of "repair NEXRAD phase splitter" and "repair phase amplifier" in GSA's eLibrary returned no matches. A sources sought was posted on FedBizOpps on July 24, 2014.
