34--Annual Contract to service an Ophthalmic Lens Generator

The US Army Medical command for FORT JACKSON has a requirement for Maintenance and Repair Services for an Ophthalmic Lens Generator. The Government intends to award a contract for this requirement. The suggested contractor is Gerber Scientific International Inc. 83 Gerber Road W South Windsor CT 06074-3230. CLIN # 0001 Annual Contract to Service an Ophthalmic Lens Generator. Model # DTL 100. POP: 8 FEB 2010- 30 SEP 2010 The contractor shall provide all repair parts, labor, test equipment, travel, and materials not government furnished, necessary to return the unit to fully operational capability per manufacturers specifications. Services under this Contract shall be performed by individuals who have demonstrated knowledge and competence in the servicing and maintaining of the specific instrumentation under this Contract. Personnel must have successfully completed a formalized training program from the Equipment Manufacturer. (Gerber Coburn) The Contractor shall insure repair technicians who have been trained on the specific equipment under contract and have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in maintaining equipment specified above. Contractor must be certified on all equipment serviced. This is not a request for proposal. However, companies that can provide an equal product must submit their technical capabilities to include technical specifications of their product, past performance information, price and delivery time. This information will be reviewed by the Government technical representatives for consideration for future requirements.
