Recovery Act - Request for Quotation - Indian Health Service Product AcquisitionProject Number: D10PS18514 RECOVERY ACT PROJECT: THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE TO NASA SEWP CONTRACT HOLDERS WHO CAN PROVIDE ARTROMICK BRAND NAME OR EQUAL PRODUCTS. The Department of Interior (DOI), National Business Center (NBC), Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD), Herndon Office on the behalf of the Indian Health Service (IHS), is soliciting qualified NASA SEWP firms to submit responses to a Request for Quotation for Artromick or equal information technology equipment for multiple health centers that are operated by IHS. The Indian Health Service (IHS), Division of Information Technology Operations (ITO) is intending to use Recovery Act funds for this procurement. The treasury account symbol for this requirement is 75 9/0 0389. This funding is included in the programs OMB Spend Plan for the Recovery Act as a component of the IT Infrastructure upgrade in support of meaningful use (ARRA-I-001). IHS-ITO provides core network services and support to federal and tribal health care facilities in over 33 states. The hardware associated with this acquisition directly address the equipment needs in support of ARRA related work as well as continuity and compatibility with existing equipment within IHS-ITO. This acquisition supports the objective expected from the spending of ARRA funds as noted in the HIS-ITO ARRA Implementation Plan for Health Information Technology. This plan has been approved by OMB and is posted on www.recovery.gov. The objective of this acquisition is to purchase Artromick brand name or equal equipment for the IHS. The Acquisition Services Directorate intends to issue this requirement as a firm fixed price competitive delivery order, to NASA SEWP contract holders only. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334119, "Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing", size standard 1,000 employees. The acquisition will contribute materially to IHS' successful completion of its responsibilities under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009.
