Job Corps Facilities Maintenance Services, Design, and Construction Outreach Day

Description: The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of the Senior Procurement Executive (OSPE), Job Corps Acquisition Services (JCAS), is sponsoring a Job Corps Facilities Maintenance Services, Design, and Construction Outreach Day on September 21, 2022. This event is free of charge to all participants. North American Industry Classification System Codes: 236220, Commercial and institutional building construction; 541310, Architectural services; 541330, Engineering services Who Should Attend: Any entities interested in learning about contracting opportunities (construction, facilities maintenance, design, and engineering) associated with the Job Corps program. DOL is especially interested in outreach to entities in underserved communities, such as Black, Latino, Indigenous and Native American persons, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and other persons of color; members of religious minorities; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ+) persons; persons with disabilities; and persons who live in rural areas. Benefits of Attending: Job Corps is a residential training program that serves youth ages 16 to 24 with Job Corps Centers throughout the nation. Carrying out the program’s mission requires building and maintaining Centers so that Job Corps students have safe and quality places in which to learn and reside. During the Outreach Day, participants will be able to network and hear federal contracting officers and program representatives discuss the type of construction and engineering services DOL requires to make the program possible. Conference Location: The Job Corps Facilities Maintenance Services, Design, and Construction Outreach Day will be held virtually on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m Eastern Time.
