The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), on behalf of the Program Executive Office (PEO) Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) Command and Control Systems Program Office (PMW 150), intends to release draft documentation for the Naval Operational Supply System (NOSS). The legacy Naval Tactical Command Support System (NTCSS) provides the unit commanding officer of ships, submarines, aviation squadrons, and intermediate maintenance (afloat and ashore) activities the ability to manage: ship/aircraft maintenance, parts inventory, finances, tech manuals and drawings, and personnel information. In order for NTCSS to meet future Navy and Department of Defense (DoD) requirements, NTCSS must transition from a client-server architecture to a modern and sustainable solution set in NOSS. The Government intends to incrementally release draft documents relative to this potential future procurement.
