The U.S. Army, Fort Carson, Colorado, intends to negotiate a sole-source purchase order with Meggitt Training Systems, Inc. for various repair and replacement parts for the current target systems at Range Control on Fort Carson. The requirements for this contract include: pop-up stationary infantry targets, motor control power supply assembly, hit sensor assembly, target head sub assembly, and regenerative drives. All items must be compatible with items manufactured by Meggitt Training Systems, Inc. This is a sole source procurement under Other Than Full and Open Competition (FAR Part 6). THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES, however; any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time on 31 August 2012. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed above. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government.
