On the DLA-DIBBS Quote Form, there is a block titled "Hazardous Material Identification and Material Safety Data (FAR 52.2223-3)". This block's default is set to "No". If you are submitting a quote for an item in the 6135 or 6140 Federal Supply Classes (FSCs), the answer to this question MUST be marked "Yes" on all quotes for Batteries (Answering "NO" in this block is misquoting the product by the Vendor, and will cause MSDS/PSDS sheets to be missed which is a violation of the FAR) .After answering "YES" to the Hazardous Material question, then select one of the applicable "Hazardous Warning Labels Acts" from the drop down box. If Hazardous Warning Labels are not required, select NOT APPLICABLE. (Note: NOT APPLICABLE in this box applies to the Hazardous Warning Labels and does not apply to the requirement for Material Safety Data Sheets, which are required on every buy for Batteries.)
