NAICS Code: 541710 NAICS Code: 541710 The United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Kannan Krishnan, Ph.D., of the University of Montreal, Canada. The purpose of this acquisition is to calculate partition coefficients necessary for the development of Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic Models (PBPK models) of pesticide metabolism. Dr. K. Krishnan has developed a method for predicting tissue partition coefficients using n-octanol:water partition coefficients of chemicals. His procedures for predicting tissue partition coefficients have been applied successfully for PBPK modeling of the pesticide chlorpyrifos by an independent group of researchers and the results have been published. As the developer of the methodology, Dr. Krishnan has the expertise to apply and to expand it if needed with full understanding of its limitations.
