The Small Craft Facility at the Naval Station has a requirement for the following services: Clin 0001 – Perkins 4-108 engine overhaul and test. 10 Each. Period of performance shall be from date of award through 30 September 2005. Vendor shall pickup within 3 working days after notification by SCRD, and provides 48 hours notice when delivery engine after repairs and testing. Engines shall be disassembled, cleaned and components evaluated for re-use or replacement, components shall be replaced with new ones. The Engine fuel injection pump, Engine Fuel Injectors, and Engine Cylinder Head assemblies shall be remanufactured, which has to meet or exceed OEM specifications. Government Furnished Materials shall only be the Flywheel Ring Gear. Contractor shall prepare each engine for painting after assembly and testing. Engines shall be painted with industrial engine enamel, bright red. Warranty shall be free of defects in workmanship for six (6) months from date of delivery to SCRD, Free of defects in components supplied as new parts for twenty-four (24) months from date of delivery, and free of defects in components supplied as remanufactured assemblies for twelve (12) months from date of delivery. If component supplied as a new part and found defective, the contractor shall furnish a new part and replacement labor at no charge. If component supplied as a remanufactured assembly and found defective, the contractor shall at his option, repair or replace the assembly, SCRD shall remove and reinstall the repaired or replaced remanufactured assembly.
