53 -- Machine Shop Products - FSC 5365

Defense Supply Center Richmond will be soliciting a multiple NSN solicitation for approximately 80 NSNs relating to Machine Shop Turned Products. These NSNs belong to the 5365 Federal Supply Class. The NSNs are divided into 11 groups and each group will be evalulated on an 'all or none' basis. Contractor may quote on one group or as many groups as they have the capability to perform. The NSNs have been grouped utilizing the World Wide Web Industrial Capabilities Assessment Program (WICAP). WICAP uses the Department of Commerce's North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) to group the NSNs into the groupings based on similar manufacturing processes. The resulting award(s) will be indefinite quantity contract(s). The solicitation contains a two-year base period with three 1-year option periods. The Contractor is required to provide pricing for the base period and option periods. This requirement will be an 8A competitive set-aside with the potential for split awards. The total estimated dollar value of this procurement is $3.4 Million. All solicitation documents, including the NSN listing, related to this procurement will be posted by the solicitation issue date, October 7, 2002, to the DSCR Contracting website, www.dscr.dla.mil/ka.
