Description
The Department of Health and Human Services requires a contractor to establish the Compassion Capital Fund National Resource Center (National Center) to assist the Federal government in carrying out its objectives with regard to enhancing and expanding the participation of faith-based and community-based organizations in providing social services to the poor and others in need by providing capacity-building support at the national level, working directly with federal agencies and the intermediary organizations funded under the Compassion Capital Fund and other similar organizations, serving as a repository, clearinghouse and distribution center for information, tool, and resources, and providing a forum for stimulating discussion and examination of important issues. A major activity of the National Center will be coordination and oversight of the intermediary organizations funded under the Compassion Capital Fund and ensuring that the intermediaries have the information, tools, techniques and resources they need to perform successfully. The period of performance shall be twenty-four months. The date of issue for this RFP will be approximately fifteen days after this announcement is published. Proposals will be due 30 days after issuance date of the RFP. It is anticipated that the solicitation document will be available on the DHHS website at www.hhs.gov/ogam/oam/opportunities/opportun.htm/ within 5 business days of issuance of the paper copies. However, to assure receipt, you should request a paper copy. Requests for paper copies of this RFP must be made in writing to the address and contact point listed above.
