Description
The Department of Health and Human Services requires a contractor to conduct a study that will examine the role of intermediary organizations in assisting faith- and community-based organizations to build their capacity to best serve needy individuals and families, innovative and best practices among intermediary organizations, promising practices among faith- and community-based organizations, methods to evaluate the services of both types of organizations, and methods to assess and benchmark performance among faith- and community-based groups. The work shall focus on five target service areas addressed by faith- and community-based organizations: homelessness, hunger, at-risk children, transition from welfare to work, and intensive rehabilitation services such as those needed by addicts and prisoners. The period of performance shall be twenty-four months. The date of issue for this RFP will be approximately fifteen days after this announcement is published. Proposals will be due 30 days after issuance date of the RFP. It is anticipated that the solicitation document will be available on the DHHS website at www.hhs.gov/ogam/oam/opportunities/opportun.htm/ within 5 business days of issuance of the paper copies.
