Notice of Intent to Issue Sole Source Modification to Contract HE1254-10-D-0020, Teaching Strategies Gold Site Licenses The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) intends to award a sole source modification under existing contract HE1254-10-D-0020 with Teaching Strategies, 7101 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite 700, Bethesda, MD 20814 under the authority of 41 USC 253(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302. This modification will add additional site licenses needed to support our Domestic Dependent Elementary and Secondary Schools (DDESS) locations. The proposed existing contractor is the only source that has the preschool assessment requirements that meets all the needs of DoDEA. Teaching Strategies is the sole proprietor of the online assessment system that seamlessly aligns with DoDEA Preschool Standards and the Common Core State Standards already in place at DoDEA classrooms. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Responses to this notice must be emailed to [email protected] and received by 5:00 p.m. EST on June 1, 2012. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract modification based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
