Presolicitation Notice Inspection, Preservation, and Storage of M197 Cannons, M89E1 Feeders and Turrets

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) plans to issue a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) number N00019-10-G-0011 to General Dynamics Armament & Technical Products for the inspection, preservation, and storage of the M197 Cannons, M89E1 Feeders, and Turrets for the H-1 Program. This requirement will be procured in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than Full and Open Competition under 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency's requirements. General Dynamics is the original equipment manufacturer and possesses the engineering data, technical skills and requisite knowledge of the design, fabrication, performance, operation, maintenance and support characteristics necessary to inspect/preserve the aforementioned parts.
