309th SMXG/ 517SMXS/MXDED/ PZIMC intends to issue a sole source contract to purchase all equipment, drawings, instructions, and specifications to the contractor (National Instruments) which will provide (1) Vector Signal Analyzer System. MXDED will perform maintenance of the USAF Range Treat System AN/MSR-T4 (Mini-Trans) software and hardware of existing systems and install and ensure functional operation with the analyzer system. Notice of Intent to award a Sole Source Procurement in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract to the contractor (National Instruments) will provide (1) Vector Signal Analyzer System, contracting by Negotiation. The solicitation will posted at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ under solicitation number FA8224-12-T-0058 on or around August 30, 2012. This requirement is considered sole source due to the fact the Vector Signal Analyzer being installed and retrofitted with existing Vector Signal Analyzer would require an interface and adaptation resulting in much more expense and downtime to the operation. The NAICS code for this requirement is 334119 (Other Computer Peripheral Equipment Manufacturing) with a small business size standard of 1000. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and all other interested contractors shall submit a capabilities document which states their abilities on fulfilling this requirement.
