The U.S Navy intends to procure a requirement for engineering analysis to redesign the Nacelle Blower as necessary to alleviate the impeller tip rub for the V-22 weapon system. This requirement, pending successful outcome, will lead to a formal Engineering Change Proposal to the V-22. The U.S Navy is planning for a T&M type contract with Bell-Boeing JPO, 401 Tiltrotor Dr, Amarillo, TX 79151-1200. This contract will be awarded on a sole-source basis to Bell-Boeing JPO, which is the sole developer, designer and manufacturer of the Navy's V-22 System. Bell-Boeing JPO is thus the only known source with the knowledge, experience, and proprietary technical data required to perform these tasks within the necessary time frame.
