Notice of Intent - GRB/CALC IVR 2011 Annual Software License and Maintenace

This is a NOTICE OF INTENT to solicit on a Sole Source basis to acquire the renewal of the GRB/CALC IVR software license and maintenance on the existing UNIX -based environment for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) located at 5353 Getwell Road, Stop 45, Memphis, TN 38130. Request for Quotation will be solicited from Government Retirement Benefits (GRB) since this is proprietary software only provided by GRB. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are not being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authorithy of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). The service is being solicited and awarded as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12. The notice of intent is not a request for quote. However, the IRS will consider all written responses received no later than 12:00 pm EST, December 28, 2010. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
