Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC (SRNS), managing contractor of the Savannah River Site (SRS) for the Department of Energy, solicits expressions of interest from companies wishing to partner in a Funds-in Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA). The purpose of this project is to develop a new physical layer (Radio Frequency circuitry) for short range wireless sensors networks that meets the NNSA requirements for security (validated by NSA and TSCM), throughput and reliability. This collaboration with industry will lead to an agreed upon set of requirements that will broaden the customer base thereby making the developers more willing to design hardware that meets the NNSA requirements. Any company interested in this arrangement must respond with a letter of interest (may be submitted by email) no later that 30 days from the publication date of this Notice summarizing the company's business and technical expertise and motivation for pursuing this opportunity. Qualified companies will be provided with further information. Questions and expressions of interest may be addressed to the Point of Contact identified in this Notice.
