Savannah River Nuclear Solutions (SRNS), managing contractor of the Savannah River Site (SRS) for the Department of Energy, solicits expressions of interest from companies wishing to license this technology for commercialization or enter into a Funds-In Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) to further develop a Device is a portable system that allows an operator to download data from various devices like voice recorders, digital cameras, or radiation detectors, and transfer the information via satellite to almost anywhere in the world. The handheld isotope identifiers currently in use may not always identify all spectrums collected so the RadRelay TM handheld computer is used to download the spectra and send it wirelessly to a shore based lab for further analysis. Any company interested in licensing this device or participating in a Funds-In CRADA must respond with a letter of interest (may be submitted by email) no later that 30 days from the publication date of this Notice summarizing the company's business and technical expertise and motivation for pursuing this opportunity.
