Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract for Cybersecurity Compliance and Risk Management

Notice of Intent for Cybersecurity Compliance and Risk Management Contract Extension This is a notification that the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) intends to extend contract services currently performed by Torch Technologies, Inc. 4035 Chris Dr. SW STE C, Huntsville, AL 35802-4192 under a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract HQ0147-17-C-0022. The contract was previously awarded on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. § 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency Requirements. MDA intends to execute a contract modification to extend the existing option CLIN by three months to provide uninterrupted, high-quality continuity of operations for the MDA Chief Information Office. The current option period expires on February 7, 2018. The extension will extend services through May 7, 2018. The statutory authority for the intended contract modification is 10 U.S.C. § 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency Requirements. The associated North American Industry Classification System code for this procurement is 541712 with a size standard of 1250 employees for subcontracting opportunities. This notice is not a request for proposals. This action will result in a modification to an existing contract to extend contract services which is necessary to allow for continuity of critical contractor services until a competitive contract is awarded under the Technical, Engineering, Advisory, and Management Support acquisition strategy. Any information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for enhancing competition in a future competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for information submitted.
