--Direct Sunlight lighting system Intent to award on a sole source basis to Sunlight Direct, LLC

U.S. Army Research, Development and Engineering Command intends to solicit on a sole source basis under the statutory authority permitting Other than Full and Open Competition 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements to Sunlight Direct, LLC, 1020 Commerce Park Drive, Suite G, Oak Ridge, TN 37830 for a Direct Sunlight lighting system. This system will be installed in a facility in use by the U.S. Army Rapid Equipping Force as a prototype system to determine whether this new, patented technology will result in energy cost savings for the Government. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. Requests for copies of a solicit ation in response to this notice will not be honored or acknowledged. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether conducting a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the Government. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement, no later than 3:30 pm EDT, 24 Aug ust 2007. All information submitted should support the offerors capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indi cating an offerors bona fide capability to provide these items in the timeframe required. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email if the total file size is less than 5MB.
