PV Solar Panels

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) intends to enter into negotiations on the basis of other than Full and Open Competition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1 and 10U.S.C. 2304(c)(1); only one responsible source, with MicroLink Devices, Inc., which is located at 6457 W. Howard St., Niles, IL 60714. The requirement is for twenty-two (22) solar panels, eighteen (18) of which must be delivered by January 31, 2013. The panels must meet the following specifications; •1. Sheet size: 15" x 11" •2. Packaged cell efficiency: 26% - 27% under AM1.5 illumination •3. Array size: 3x10; 3 parallel-connected strings of 10 series- connected cells •4. Cell size: 20 cm2 •5. Cell type: Triple junction •6. Bypass diodes: A silicon bypass diode will be connected in parallel with every cell •7. Cell interconnections: Welded Ag tabs •8. Encapsulation material: PV5400 ionomer top sheet and back sheet •9. Connectors: ABS junction box will be used •10.
