SCOOTER STYLE DIVER PROPULSION VEHICLES USED IN SEARCH AND RESCUE OPERATIONSTO ASSIST DIVER MOBILITY IN THE WATER AND CONSERVE DIVER ENERGY. DUE: 31 MAY 2011. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) Atlantic, Advanced Technology Branch (Code 52130) is seeking information on commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), "scooter style" diver propulsion vehicles used in search and rescue operations to assist diver mobility in the water and conserve diver energy. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Authorized Equipment List (AEL) item number for this equipment is 03WA-01-PROP. The target audience for this information is the emergency responder community and all submittals should be suited to their specific needs. Review of this information is being performed for the DHS System Assessment and Validation for Emergency Responders (SAVER) Program, which aims to conduct objective comparative assessments and validation of commercial equipment and systems and provide those results to the emergency responder community. Specific information sought includes: 1. Company information, including name, address, and URL. 2. Whether the company is a manufacturer or distributor. 3. A point of contact for follow-up information, and the point of contacts phone number and e-mail address. 4. Product name and a brief description (75 words or less). 5. Cost information such as purchase price and General Services Administration (GSA) schedule information. The submitted information will be evaluated for inclusion in SAVER projects. If a SAVER project on this type of equipment is executed, the equipment selection will be based upon a number of factors, including emergency responder surveys and responder focus group inputs. Consequently, follow-up requests for feedback should not be made through Federal Business Opportunities posting agency.
