The Program Manager for Training Systems (PM TRASYS) is issuing this Special Notice to inform Industry of the intent to award a sole-source purchase order to MEI, Chemring Ordnance for the Omega 36 cartridges to be installed on Lockheed Martin target mechanisms to be incorporated into scenario writing capability and GPS triggered events for training at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma, CA.Quotes are not being requested and written solicitation will not be used. This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1. The anticipated award date is 28 Dec 09. This notice is neither a request for competitive proposals nor a solicitation of offers. A determination by the government not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
