Site visit questions and Answers: Questions from the Boiler Site Conference July 23, 2014 1:00 pm 1 - Is this a Full Service Contract? Yes this is a Full- Service Contract 2 - All repairs to be included on this contract? Yes, all parts, supplies, tools required are to be furnished by the contractor. Contractor is not responsible for problems that arise from "Act of God" (i.e. Power surges, lighting strikes, war, floods, etc.) Contractor will be responsible for removing all used parts and materials (oil, bearings, etc.) 3 - Does the contract include vessel inspection? How often? Whose cost? Yes, the contract includes vessel inspection, only for the 2 steam boilers. Government is aware this requires tear down, certified inspector to complete work and bring boiler back on-line. Vessel inspection on these 2 boilers will follow manufacturer's recommendations or at the minimum yearly. Contractor is responsible for all costs and scheduling related to vessel inspector. 4 - How does contractor access the units? The contractor will schedule3 - 5 work days ahead with the COR, a time to complete the service. The contractor will get permission from the COR before shutting any systems down or starting any fire related work (welding, soldering, grinding, etc.). 5 - Are the Hot water heaters included in the contract? No the hot water heaters are not included in the contract. 6 - The government will have the broken flange and safety valve replaced and functioning properly before the contract is awarded.
