Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source to Global 360 for the renewal of annual maintenance for Global 360 Document Management Software

Under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 6, Subparts 6.301 and 6.302, the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) intends to contract with Global 360, Inc., on a Sole Source basis for the annual maintenance and support of the Global 360 document management software. This software is a key component to PHMSA's Hazardous Materials Information System (HMIS). Global 360 created the software and is the only provider of its maintenance and support. This award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. A determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
