99--Advanced Guidance and Control - Assessment of Operational and Safety Benefits (Task 2)

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) William J. Hughes Technical Center (WJHTC) is soliciting proposals for research effort, the purpose of which is to remove some of the obstacles associated with the introduction and certification-process approval of more advanced functionally-integrated flight guidance and control systems. The FAA anticipates award of one (1) Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract for a period of eighteen (18) months to the responsive/responsible offeror whose proposal provides the best value to the government. Proposals will be evaluated based upon the following three (3) technical factors: (1) Technical Approach, (2) Relevance to Aviation Safety, and (3) Research Performance Competence. This is a Full and Open procurement with applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 541710, Engineering and Research Development. The size standard (number of employees) is 1500. Interested parties responding to this solicitation are directed to the attached SIR.
