NA This is a non-competitive combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation No. DTRS57-05-Q-80025 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), FAR Part 13.5. The Volpe National Transportation Systems Center (Volpe Center) has a requirement to purchase licensing of the proprietary software LS-DYna3d, for use on a total of 72 Central Processing Units (CPUs) on single and/or multiple processor computer systems at the Volpe Center in Cambridge, MA, and at the National Highway Traffic Administration (NHTSA) in Washington DC. 1)Renewal – Site License for LS-Dyna3d on 35 CPUs (Site License).2) License for LS-Dyna3d on thirty (37) additional CPU’s This proposed action is for commercial services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority in FAR Part 6.302.
