This is a Pre-Solicitation notice for a full and open competition requirement. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has a requirement to demonstrate how radio frequency identification (RFID) tags can be used during hot mix asphalt production to provide information during construction as well as be linked into materials management systems and pavement management systems. This project will also explore the feasibility of linking the information through a geographic information system. This solicitation will only be released and available electronically at http://www.fedbizopps.gov.
