Description
The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest has a requirement for approximately 3100 tons of GA #599 Graded Aggregate Base and 1700 tons of GA #5 stone. The stone is to be hauled and tailgate spread along various National Forest roads within the boundaries of the Brasstown Ranger District (Towns, Union, and Lumpkin Counties, Georgia). Stone must come from GA DOT certified quarry. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation identified as RFQ 8-3-02-22 is issued as a Request for Quotations. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and no written solicitation will be issued. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Please state your price per ton for the following Items: Line Item 01 ? GA #599 stone, hauled and tailgate spread. Line Item 02-- GA #5 stone, hauled and tailgate spread. DELIVERY: Deliveries are to be made beginning upon award and no orders will be placed later than December 31, 2002. Exact directions to project locations to be given after award. The gravel shall be delivered between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. The gravel supplier must deliver a minimum of 200 tons each day hauled. SUBMIT OFFERS: on company letterhead or form, no later than close of business August 26, 2002, to Contracting Division, Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest, 1755 Cleveland Hwy., Gainesville, GA 30501. Quotes may be FAXed to 770-297-3011. Provide quote by line item per ton with haul and spread included in price. Quotes must indicate quarry source and include a completed copy of clause 52.212-3 Representations and Certifications. Quotes will be evaluated on price and capability of the vendor to meet the agency need. An Indefinite Quantity, Indefinite Delivery contract will be awarded from this solicitation. Orders will be placed as needed throughout the contract period (Award date through December 31, 2002). Total orders under this contract shall not exceed $100,000.
