The Office of Justice Programs (OJP), National Institute of Justice(NIJ) attends to award on a sole basis a purchase order to Castine Research Corporation, P.O. Box 110, 40 Main Street, Castine, ME. Castine Research Corp., under the direction of Dr. Tonry, shall edit three current manuscripts in to final form for publication in volume 30 of the series "Crime and Justice - A Review of Research". Dr. Michael Tonry, Castine Research Corporation, has been editor of the NIJ funded publication for a number of years and currently serves as the Director of the Institute of Criminology at the University of Cambridge and Professor of Law and Public Policy at the Institute. Dr. Tonry has written numerous articles and books on criminal justice and has served as an advisor to federal and state agencies in the U.S., Australia, and Canada, to national government agencies in a number of European countries, and to international organizations. Because of Dr. Tonry long association with the "Crime and Justice " series and his extensive criminology experience, and reputation, the Government considers Dr. Tonry uniquely qualified to finalize the manuscripts, thereby meeting the NIJ's objective. This purchase order shall be negotiated in accordance with the authority of 41 U.S.C. 2152(c)(1) - Only one responsible source with unique capabilities. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION
