70 -- Special Notice: Intent to Award Sole Source

This announcement constitutes the intentions of the Transportation Security Administration to enter into a contract with ID Solutions on a single source basis, in accordance with the TSA Acquisition Management System. Alternative products will not be considered. This is notice of contract action and is not a request for competitive proposals; no formal solicitation will be issued as a result of this announcement. The purpose of the award is to obtain additional AFIS licenses to be used with the AFIS software that is in use by the Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) program. The software and licenses which are in use in the TWIC system were provided by ID Solutions. Additionally, this contract is not a software design contract; ID Solutions has already created the necessary software for this particular use. In order to ensure the new licenses are compatible with the existing licenses and software, AFIS licenses must be purchased from ID Solutions.
