20 -- Notice of intent for sole source procurement

The United States Coast Guard, MLC Atlantic intends to issue a purchase order with Hydraulic Supply Company for the following custom engineered equipment that is installed on the 87 foot Class Patrol Boats: one (1) each 05121-hydraulic pump assembly, one (1) each 05122-door circuit assembly, one (1) each 05123-winch circuit assembly, one (1) each 05124-anchor windlass assembly, and one (1) each 05125-accumulator assembly. Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) – Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Hydraulic Supply Company is the only company that has the technical propriety data necessary to manufacturer the custom engineered required parts in support of the existing 87 foot Class Patrol Boats. The requirement will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition procedures per FAR 13.5 – Test Program for Certain Commercial Items with an estimated value of $29,583.74. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the government will consider all information received within 5 days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A Determination by the Government not to compete as a result of quotes received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
