Notice of Intent to Sole Source

This is a notice of intent to proceed with a sole source requirement with Pen-Link LTD in order to add-ons to proprietary equipment. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1): Only one source is deemed reasonably available. This notice is being provided per FAR 5.201(b)(1)(iii) and FAR 5.207(c)(14). Market research has identified no other vendor which can meet this requirement as the requirement involves proprietary information. Vendors that desire further information or believe that they can meet these requirements may respond to this notice. The response should contain a brief description of any experience with this equipment. If the response suggests a qualified vendor, a competitive Request for Quotes (RFQ) will be issued. The determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
