S -- Laundry and Dry Cleaning Services

ONLY WRITTEN REQUESTS FOR COPIES OF THE SOLICITATION WILL BE HONORED. IMPORTANT: TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL NOT BE HONORED.The contractor shall provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision to provide LAUNDRY AND DRY CLEANING SERVICES at USCG Integrated Support Command, KODIAK, ALASKA for the period 01 October 2003 through 30 September 2004. The services include, but are not limited to: pickup and delivery at various points at ISC Kodiak, AK and processed within two days in accordance with the statement of work. Service requires laundry of towels, sheets, blankets, surgical scrubs, pillowcases, hospital gowns, and medical wrappers, as well as dry cleaning drapes, clothing, and various other items. Contract dollar amount is estimated to be under $50,000. Contractor will be selected based on the lowest price per pound and documented experience and qualifications. The proposed contract is a small business set aside. All responsible sources that submit a written quotation will be considered. Materials, workmanship, and procedures shall comply with the latest edition of all applicable codes and industry standards and these specifications. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED MATERIALS: None. Performance Period is: 1 year. SUBMITTALS DUE UPON AWARD may include but are not limited to: manufacturer catalogs, standard schedules, performance charts, instructions, brochures, diagrams, etc., in addition to references and qualifications. Lack of adequacy of references shall be at the sole discretion of the government and may constitute grounds for disqualification. CONTRACTOR SHALL COMPLY WITH requirements of: applicable Coast Guard Safety Regulations. ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS OR REQUIREMENTS ARE CONTAINED IN STATEMENT OF WORK THAT WILL BE INCLUDED WITH REQUEST FOR QUOTE DOCUMENTS WHEN THEY ARE ISSUED ON APPROXIMATELY AUGUST 18, 2003. A SITE VISIT will not be held. Familiarity with the location of the island of Kodiak and with weather at that site is encouraged.
