The Federal Protective Service (FPS) intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a sole source contract to Wireless Communications Inc., 5656 Third St. Northeast, Washington, DC 20011 under the authority of FAR 13.501(a) and FAR 6.302-1(a). This procurement requires the contractor to provide radio maintenance up to and including programming, database inventory updates, Alias Database Manager updating, trouble-shooting lines, trouble shooting phone lines, trouble shooting antenna lines and small radio installation service support for the entire FPS inventory of radio equipment any systems which are located within the National Capitol Region. Services will require a dedicated person on site at the Mega Center, Suitland, MD, 8 hours each day (except holidays weekends). Services include after hours response. The FPS Simulast Radio system was designed and developed by Motorola, all data and rights are proprietary to them. The resultant contractor must therefore be a Motorola approved vendor for the required services in order to keep existing warranties in tact. This synopsis is being published for information purposes only. Notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. however, the government will consider any interest received within five (5) business days of the issuance of this notice. A determination by the government to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
