Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement SEE Botanical1225 Verona St.Bellingham, WA 98229 The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) in Portland Oregon intends to award a sole source fixed-price purchase order under authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 6.302-1, other than full and open competition procedures and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedure, for the acquisition of services for monitoring results of rehabilitation efforts on the Weather Station Fire Area, on Hanford Reach National Monument. The work is specialized and requires detailed knowledge of vegetation types, plant community ecology, and rare plant species of the North Slope of the Hanford Reach National Monument. Contractors must be very experienced in establishing and conducting vegetation surveys and interpreting results. Contractors must be able to identify all plant species expected in the area, understand the plant community ecology, interpret site conditions, and provide management recommendations. No solicitation or request for quote is available for this procurement. Any firm that believes it is capable of meeting the USFWS requirements described herein may submit a response no later than 08/06/2011, by close of business to be considered.
