The Government intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, a firm-fixed-price (FFP) acquisition with New Age Systems. This non-competitive action is being issued by the Acquisition Services Directorate (AQD) on behalf of the Department of the Interior's (DOI) The Office of the Executive Secretariat & Regulatory Affairs (OES), Document Management Unit (DMU). Description of Requirement: The U.S. Department of the Interior's (DOI) Office of the Executive Secretariat & Regulatory Affairs (OES), Document Management Unit (DMU) has a continuing need for support for its customized Laserfiche Software and the purchase of new Laserfiche client licenses. Currently DMU is in need of the following software support and licenses: Second Year Laserfiche Support: This support continues the requirement for a contractor to provide Laserfiche upgrades and software maintenance renewals for one year, the yearly preventative maintenance and on-site support for the DOI-DMU includes upgrade and technical support as well as comprehensive and preventative maintenance for the Laserfiche subsystem. Laserfiche Client Licenses: DMU is in need of 20 Additional Client Licenses that includes Workflow, WebAccess, and support in order to permit deployment to the desktops of reviewing attorneys in the various divisions of the Dept. of Interior Office of the Solicitor. Support requires the contractor to provide Laserfiche upgrades and software maintenance renewals for one year, the yearly preventative maintenance and on-site support for the DOI-DMU includes upgrade and technical support as well as comprehensive and preventative maintenance for the Laserfiche subsystem. This action is being processed in accordance with FAR 13.106-1 (b) "Soliciting from a single source". No other individual that is a Laserfiche Value Added Reseller (VAR) is known to provide the services provided above with the required experience and understanding of the DMU system and work processes needed for successful completion of this acquisition in a timely manner.
