Sole Source - Provide Transportation, Planting, and Monitoring Services for 40 Donated Sweet Gum Trees at the Flight 93 National Memorial

The National Park Service Denver Service Center intends to negotiate a sole source procurement action with Environmental Tree and Design, Inc. for services at the Flight 93 National Memorial, Somerset County, Pennsylvania. The services include loading, transporting, planting, and monitoring 40 donated Sweet Gum Trees from the National 9/11 Memorial to the Flight 93 National Memorial. The importance of ensuring these mature 35 - 40 foot tall trees are properly maintained from nursery to final planting location is vital to the memorials and stakeholders involved. The proposed contract action covers services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals; however this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Inquiries and proposals received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
