Special Notice - Internet Payment Platform (IPP) System -Pilot ProgramDOI will begin using the U.S. Department of Treasury Internet Payment Platform (IPP) IPP under a 6 month pilot program on/or about August 1, 2009. DOI will plan to go-live with full production using IPP on/or about February 1, 2010. IPP will be used by the Bureau of Land Management, Minerals Management Service, and the Office of Surface Mining and Reclamation. The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Management Service (FMS), in partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston (FRBB), a fiscal agent of the U.S. Treasury, is offering the IPP service for use by Federal government agencies and their suppliers. IPP is the DOI preferred method of submitting invoices electronically for payment. The IPP facilitates the conversion of paper-based processes to electronic interactions by providing a Web-based portal for easy data access at no charge to Agencies and their Suppliers. Suppliers that are unable to comply with this new initiative must notify DOI by submitting a Request for Waiver to
