Notice of Intent to award using other than full and competition under FAR 6.302-1

There is no solicitation. The United States Fish and Wildlife Service, Contracting and General Services Division in Portland, OR has plans to award using other than full and open competition to Benson Farms Inc. of Moses Lake Washington. Work involves drill seed application of approximately 700 acres of native seed mix in upper snively old field area. This is a unique environment within the Columbia Basin and as such, the rangeland drills and tractors that pull them must be adapted to and rugged enough for these conditions. This is the only operator in the immediate area that has necessary equipment and experience to operate in basaltic dryland environments for this service. The Service intends to award Sole Source to Benson Farms. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue award using other than full and open competition and is not a request for competitive proposals. The determination of the Government not to open subject requirement to full and open competition was made IAW FAR 6.302-1.
